Urinary tract infections can be common in pets. The common signs that you will see will be an increase in the frequency of which they urinate. You may see that they are straining to urinate or they may be trying to urinate and not producing any urine. This would be an indication that they may be blocked, or that there is so much inflammation that the urgency to urinate is there but there actually is not any urine to come out. The other thing, it may be a colour change of the urine, there may be blood in it. There may be partly processed blood, which would turn out quite brown, so that would normally be bilirubin. And you might also find that your pet would drink more when they have a urinary infection. So all of these are the symptoms that you will be looking out with a urine infection.
